National Security Officer Appreciation Week
NATIONAL SECURITY OFFICER
APPRECIATION WEEK
With this grand week designated for appreciating Security Officers across the country coming to a close, we here at Guardian Protection Force would really like to extend our thanks to each and every one of our security officers who work hard, and often late, to ensure our clients satisfaction. GPF has always believed in rewarding and recognizing our new and seasoned officers whenever we can, whether they are armed or unarmed.
As such, we have come up with many ways to reward our officers who display outstanding professionalism and dedication to the GPF Values.
Here's Just a Few of the Ways we Appreciate our Security Officers:
REWARDS TICKETS
The most common of our rewards are ‘Rewards Tickets’. While these tickets hold no immediate value, they are highly coveted among the GPF ranks. Rewards tickets can be redeemed during the Company Celebration in November, or the Annual Staff Appreciation Event (Holiday Party) held in December. At some point during the event there is a raffle where very useful, luxurious, and jaw dropping prizes are given away.
This year’s grand prize will be announced at the October Security Officer Staff Training, but in the past here are just a few of the Grand Prizes GPF has given away:
- An all-expense paid trip to San Diego
- A $1,000 cash
- A 85” flat screen TV
- All Expenses Paid Cruise for Two to Mexico
... And those are just the GRAND Prizes. Smaller raffle prizes over the years have included: a variety of alcoholic spirits, gift baskets for him/her and for the kids at home, NBA Tickets, electronics, gift cards, accessories, etc.
As grand as all this is, Guardian knows that many can’t wait until the end of the year to feel appreciated.
So GPF takes the time to shoutout to each officer at the end of our bi-monthly Security Officer trainings for specific moments of security professionalism that gained an individual notoriety from the client or fellow officers.
BIRTHDAYS
We also recognize each person's birthday and send our best wishes in the mail with a present attached. We often hear from our new hires, or those who recently joined, that they never received such admiration when they worked in the larger companies. Guardian Protection Force has always had a more ‘small family feel’ about it even when it has expanded. This allows us to remain connected and dedicated to our officers and staff, which often enhances our team dynamic.
ONGOING PAID TRAINING
This may sound a bit odd if you are not from the industry, but this is a company benefit that many security companies do not provide. Security Officers are typically left to ensure (and pay for) their individual ongoing training requirements, required to maintain their Security Officer permits. It is a benefit we are proud to offer, and use this time to recognize and celebrate our officers throughout the year.
There may be some who
read this that might ask:
“Why does it matter to
appreciate security officers?”
Well, beside the fact that they are often the first line of defense, we believe that happy and appreciated officers will want to come to work every day and provide better security service.
Happy employees that receive more praise and less stress from their bosses will do better while on site, which in turn makes for a more satisfied client.
This cycle of employee/client satisfaction has served GPF well for the past 12 years. And sadly, while it may not be adopted by other larger security companies, it too often shows how size isn’t everything.
“Without great employees
you can never have
great customer service.”
